Privacy Policy

Short version: CSSMitra runs almost entirely in your browser. We do not collect, sell, or share your personal data. Your files, calculator inputs, and reading activity never leave your device.
1. Information We Collect
CSSMitra collects minimal information:
- Analytics data (anonymous): Via Google Firebase Analytics — page views, general location (country/state level), device type, and session duration. This is aggregated and anonymous. No personally identifiable information is captured.
- Feedback form submissions: If you voluntarily submit feedback via our form or email (cssmitra100@gmail.com), we receive the information you provide (name, email, message). This is used only to respond to your query.
- Comments: If you post a comment on an article, we store the name and comment text you submit. Do not include sensitive personal information in a public comment.
2. What We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect, log, or transmit the salary, pension or tax figures you enter into any calculator.
- We do not collect, upload, or store the files, PDFs, or images you process using any of our office tools — all processing happens locally in your browser.
- We do not track individual calculator or tool usage or store input history.
- We do not collect biometric data, financial account information, or sensitive government credentials.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party for commercial purposes.
- We do not run targeted advertising based on your searches or identity.
3. Local Storage & Browser Data
Some features use your browser's localStorage to store data locally on your device, such as your language preference, recently viewed articles, and content you create in tools like Notes, Sticky Notes, or the Kanban Board. This data is for your convenience and is not transmitted anywhere.
You can clear all locally stored data at any time via your browser's "Clear Site Data" option (Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data).
4. Third-Party Services
- Google AdSense — This site uses Google AdSense to display ads. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites. You can learn more about how Google uses data and manage your ad preferences at Google's Advertising Policy.
- Google Firebase Analytics — Used for anonymous usage statistics. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts — Font files are loaded from Google's CDN. Google may log the request. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
5. Cookies
CSSMitra does not use tracking cookies on its own. However, third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or learn more at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Google Firebase Analytics may also set anonymous session cookies for analytics purposes. These do not contain personally identifiable information. You can block these via your browser's cookie settings without affecting the core functionality of the site.
6. Your Rights
- Access: You may request details of what (minimal) data we hold about you.
- Correction: You may request correction of a comment or feedback entry you submitted.
- Deletion: You may request removal of a comment or feedback entry you submitted.
