CSSMitra is an independent, unofficial platform created and maintained by a team of professionals whose aim is to help Central Government employees understand the service rules that govern their careers, and to give them free, accurate calculators for everyday decisions — pension, gratuity, leave encashment, HRA and income tax.
The platform was built out of a simple frustration: despite serving lakhs of officer-years across Union Ministries, Central Government employees had no single, reliable online resource for their day-to-day service needs — no consolidated calculator for pension or leave encashment, no plain-language guide to the CCS rules that govern their careers.
CSSMitra exists to fill that gap. Every guide and calculator on this platform is built with the working Central Government employee in mind.
