Community Guidelines
CSSMitra is a community-driven platform. These guidelines ensure accuracy, fairness, and usefulness for all CSS officers who rely on this data for career planning.
01 — VACANCY ADDITIONS
Adding Vacancies to the Register
✅
Add only verified, factual events
Submit vacancies only when you have direct knowledge or official order references. Include the DPC/promotion order number, date of effect, and the officer's name as it appears in official records.
✅
All 4 vacancy types are welcome
Retirements (if not yet in the data), promotions to higher grade, deputations outside CSS, and VRS/death cases. Each has a different downstream impact — classify correctly.
❌
Do not add speculative or rumored events
Do not submit vacancies based on WhatsApp forwards, unofficial sources, or hearsay. This corrupts the prediction model for hundreds of officers.
❌
Do not add duplicate entries
Check the Vacancy Register before submitting. If a vacancy is already listed, do not re-add it. Duplicates artificially inflate vacancy counts and distort predictions.
02 — DATA CORRECTIONS
Requesting Seniority List Corrections
✅
Provide supporting documentation
When requesting a correction to your name, grade, CSL number, or ministry, mention your USSL number or any other identifier from official records to help us verify.
✅
Use the Feedback form or email
Email cssmitra100@gmail.com with subject "Data Correction — [Your Name]". We process corrections within 7 working days and update the database in the next release.
❌
Do not request changes for others without consent
Only request corrections for your own entry. Requesting changes to another officer's data without their knowledge is not permitted.
03 — GENERAL USE
Using CSSMitra Responsibly
📌
This is an indicative tool, not official data
Promotion predictions are estimates based on a mathematical model. Do not cite CSSMitra data in official representations, court cases, or complaints. Always refer to official DoPT records.
📌
Do not screenshot and share out of context
If sharing a prediction screenshot, always include the disclaimer that this is unofficial and indicative. Sharing without context can create confusion or anxiety among colleagues.
📌
No commercial exploitation
CSSMitra data and tools are for personal use by CSS officers. Reproducing the database, building competing tools from our data, or selling access to our tools is not permitted.
Disclaimer: CSSMitra is an independent, unofficial platform maintained by a team of professionals. All data is sourced from RTI disclosures and community contributions. The platform has no affiliation with DoPT, Ministry of Personnel, or the Government of India. Predictions are mathematical estimates only — actual promotions depend on DPC decisions, vigilance clearance, and other official processes. Last updated: June 2026.
